Scott E. DePoy is delighted to be working on this show with this wonderful cast and crew. He has composed and performed music for the Alliance Theatre, Theatre in the Square, Kaiser Permanente and many others. He has been an actor and musician in Atlanta for over forty years and is a two time Suzi Award winner. Theatre: Almost Heaven, Appalachian Christmas, Ring of Fire, Swell Party, Charley’s Aunt (GET); Edward Foote, A Child’s Garden of Verses, Cinderella and Fella, Shakespeare in Love, A Christmas Carol (Alliance Theatre); the Smoke on the Mountain trilogy (Theatre in the Square, Atlanta Lyric Theatre); The Ghastly Dreadfuls (Center For Puppetry Arts). Television: “Bloodlands” and “Sleepy Hollow.” Scott also sang on the soundtrack for the movie Cold Mountain and at the Academy Awards with Elvis Costello and Alison Krauss.
Karen Howell is happy to be returning to the Stage Door, where she last appeared in Southern Comforts. Karen’s career spans nearly 40 years, and includes work in most of Atlanta’s professional theatre companies, as well as performing in several regional theatres on the east coast. She spent nearly 20 years playing Vera Sanders in the Sanders Family trilogy at the late, great Theatre in the Square, and is delighted to be reunited with 3 of her Sanders family in this production! Karen is a two time Suzi Award winner and five time nominee, and was the 2005 recipient of the “Spirit of Suzi” award for service to the Atlanta Theatre community. Proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.
Kate Johnson is thrilled to be making her Stage Door Players debut! Some of her recent credits include Carol Melkett in Black Comedy and Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun at Elm Street Cultural Arts Village, and Lucille in Georgia Ensemble Theatre's Junie B. Jones the Musical. She would like to thank Shelly and Robert for this opportunity, her parents for their support, her roommate Josh for always helping her run lines with a smile on his face, and her sister, Beth, who exudes the Spirit of Christmas 365 days a year. Paige Mattox is overjoyed to be spreading Christmas cheer with Stage Door, as Christmas is her favorite and Stage Door is her second home. She most recently sang, swung from the ceiling, and shot stuff this past summer in Annie, Get Your Gun (Annie Oakley), previously appearing in Kiss Me, Kate! (Lilli Vanessi) and The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Drood). Other Atlanta appearances include My Fair Lady (Mrs. Pearce) at Georgia Ensemble, Cowgirls (Lee) at Horizon Theatre, Kiss of the Spider Woman (Marta) at Actor's Express, and various productions with Fabrefaction, including Urinetown, Little Women, and Titanic. Regional favorites include South Pacific (Nellie Forbush), Sound of Music (Maria), and White Christmas (Betty Haynes) with Prather Entertainment. Paige holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Mississippi, and the fierce belief that everyone should “Adopt, Not Shop”. A nod to Celestine for being such a strong, smart, inspiring woman; love and hashtags to Diddy; love and gratitude always, always to her family; and to her forever favorite, looking forward to a lifetime of Sweet Christmases with you.
Jeremy Wood is an Atlanta-based actor with a B.F.A. in Music and Theatre from the former Shorter College. Jeremy has toured nationally and internationally with the national tour of Grease as well as the first national tour of Ring of Fire. Jeremy was recognized by the Kennedy Center in 2003 for his work as a fight choreographer with the American College Theatre Festival’s award-winning production of Jekyll and Hyde. In 2010 he was included in Creative Loafing’s top 10 performances in Atlanta and was awarded Best Featured Actor in a Musical in the 2011 Suzi Bass Awards for his role as “Cosmo Brown” in Aurora Theatre’s Singin’ in the Rain.
