John Markowski is thrilled to be returning to the Stage Door Players family! John was last seen on the SDP stage clowning around in The 39 Steps. Other Stage Door Players credits include The Game's Afoot, Lend Me A Tenor (Woodie Award winner- Best Actor), Unnecessary Farce, Moon Over Buffalo, and Leading Ladies. John has performed around Atlanta with the Aurora Theatre, Atlanta Lyric Theatre, The Process Theatre Company, and Onstage Atlanta. John holds a BA in Theatre: Performance from The College of Charleston and is currently a full time employee with Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre Programs of Georgia as an actor educator. Bekah Medford is excited to join the Stage Door Family and thanks Robert for being an “absolute darling” and letting her travel to Paris every night. Bekah received her BFA in Musical Theatre from Young Harris College followed by an apprenticeship with Georgia Ensemble Theatre. She spent time working as a character performer for Walt Disney World, touring with TellTale theatre’s Strong4life, and currently tours with Dentistry4Children as the Tooth Fairy. Atlanta credits include: Junie B. Jones – The Musical, One Slight Hitch, Ramona Quimby, The Great Gatsby (Georgia Ensemble Theatre); Barefoot in the Park, I Hate Hamlet, The Wisdom of Eve and Steel Magnolias (Gypsy Theatre); Peter Pan (Fabrefaction); and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (Atlanta Lyric Studio). Denise Whelan is making her Stage Door Debut. Recently relocated from Philadelphia, credits include The Walnut Street Theatre, Arden Theatre Company, Act II Playhouse, Media Theatre, Bucks County Playhouse, The Fulton Theatre, Maine State Music Theatre, Plays and Players (Parade, directed by Harold Prince) as well as many cabarets and workshops in NYC, Philadelphia and Maine. Favorite roles include: Aldonza (Man of La Mancha), Mama Rose (Gypsy, Best actress nom. Broadway World), Mrs. Lovett (Sweeney Todd, Best Actress Nom. Broadway World), Beggar Woman (Sweeny Todd, best supporting Actress Barrymore Awards), Norma Desmond (Sunset Boulevard, Best actress nom. Broadway World), Mari Hoff (The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Best Supporting Actress nom. A native of Benton, Kentucky, Jacob is excited to be back on stage here at SDP, where he is an artistic associate. At Stage Door, Jacob has been featured in The 39 Steps, The Game's Afoot, It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play and Unnecessary Farce. Some of his favorites at other theatres include Women in Jeopardy! (Merrimack Repertory Theatre), The Importance of Being Earnest (Nashville Repertory Theatre), Fat Pig (Aurora Theare), Macbeth (Atlanta Shakespeare Company), and the world premier Angry Fags (7 Stages). Suzanne Zoller is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BA in Theatre. She is thrilled to be back at Stage Door after playing Mary in Hail Mary! last year. Other professional roles include Olivia in Twelfth Night, Cinderella in Into the Woods, April in Company and numerous independent commercial and film projects. She is a lead teacher at Jitterbug Performing Arts in Smyrna, Ga whose mission is to teach life skills through the theatrical arts to children ages 0-12. A huge thank you to Stage Door for allowing me the privilege to perform on this stage again and connect with my German roots through this character and to my family who have always supported me in my creative endeavors!
